Do the last first

I am still a novice card maker and it seems like the times I am likely to mess up my cards happen in the very last stages of making the card.

Now I try to complete as much of the final layer as I can early in the process...and then build the matting layers after that.

It's not always possible to do this, but it's certainly easier (and not as heartbreaking) to start over when I haven't invested so much time, materials and effort.

I am learning
by: Neva

Dear Christina, by watching you all the time, I am slowly learning how to make some of the cards you make. not as good but I am trying! I love the cardstock you use but I can't find any like that here in the US. Thanks for sharing.

My Journey
by: Kathryn

I love Cardmaking and I am blessed to have a lot of great supplies and things to work with. I struggle with coming up with ideas. Sometimes my cards are flawless and sometimes I get it done and dislike it. I have a very small room in which I work. I will sometimes get a card done and then see that I have transferred ink in a place It should not be. I don't have a good work space where I can work methodically. I have a lot of supplies and equipment and I long to get better. Your cards are exquisite. I make cards to tell someone they are important or that they are loved or just to encourage someone. I am hoping I can learn from you and make something as beautiful as you do, Christina. I am thankful that you take the time to teach. Kathryn

There was no picture to see but an invitation to download, but that came with an invite to install some software, and I bailed out, sorry.

hello, it is allways a lot of thinking how to work. and at the end, sometimes you see you forgot something. but it is a good tip not to glue anything, first try it out

Do the last first
by: EDITH

Hello DD

I am still at that stage as to which end I should start, even after all this time. Which ever way I assemble they usually turn out quite well. Sometimes it depends as to what you have in your stash to produce what you think you have in mind. I suggest you follow some of Christina's instructions and pre-play with your materials before assembling. I do.
