Create a Side Step Card is a short video that will take you through all the stages you need to get this look for yourself.
It is not long but it will show you how to add another card fold to your ever growing repertoire and will stop you getting bored with the same old thing
And you are sure to be proud of what you have achieved ... especially when some one admires your design and asks "Did you make this ??"
The beautiful image that I have used is called Joanie and she is from the very talented Mos Digital Pencil
There are some amazing images for you to choose from on their website and you will surely be spoilt for choice
I have colored her with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the result looks almost printed
The card fold itself can be created from just one sheet and if you are in the UK then you will need an A4 card of your choice.
If you are in the US then you will need a Letter size piece and it is slightly different to an A4
I am working in inches for this card and as each panel for matting and layering is measured individually on the card, then sizes are not mentioned for those
It is easy enough to do with out getting hung up on figures all you need to do is mark it out on the card that you wish to mat and layer with
It really is a simple enough card to make but if you are new to cardmaking then I would strongly advise you to make yourself a Template first until you feel confident enough to start on your good stuff
Keep the template in a safe place so that you can always refer back to it if you haven't made the card for some time and it is always a good idea for any project that you are trying for the first time
And if you would like to make some of the other style of Step Cards then you will find them on this website
They are in the written format and not yet videoed but watch this space !!
There are many other styles of cards for you to try too and you will find some of them on Video in the Video Tutorials section
Once you have the card fold done you can dress it up any way you wish.
Use any embellishments that you have in your ever growing "Stash"
So sit back and relax as you watch Create a Side Step Card and then get busy and try it for yourself
