Card in a box

by Ethel Sandstrom
(Pennsylvania, USA)

I saw this on the internet and decided to make several.

It takes one piece of cardstock, scored and cut to this shape.

I added DSP to all the panels and added balloons, flowers, hearts, etc. in the center panels.

On the front panel, I added a sentiment...Thinking of you, Happy Birthday, etc.

These fold flat and fit in a regular envelope to mail.

Then I realized all of my classmates turn 80 this year!! I used my Cricut to cut an 8 and 0 and added them to the back panel.

I decorated them all differently (DSP) and embellishments. I love to surprise my dear friends with unusual cards. (On our 78th year, I made a card that read "HAPPY 39th BIRTHDAY" on the front

When opened it read "TWICE" This was enjoyed by all who received one). After 62 years since Graduation, we are still a very close knit group. VERY LUCKY!!!

Christina says ...

Oh how wonderful to still be friends with class mates after all that time ... and I will bet that you have loads of fun whenever you meet up.

This idea is fabulous and I really laughed at the happy 39th Twice Inscription to the 78th birthday cards.

I hope you ALL have a really special 80th Birthday and many more to come .... would love to see what you make next year xx
