A Birthday Flower

This was quite a quick card to make. I started with a cream A4 folded base card layered with a piece of daisy Cuttlebug embossed card.

Then I die cut and layered the Leabilities "Scroll in a Square" out of matte gold mirricard. I cut 2 separate scrolls at the same time for the corners

The flower was made with a new die purchased recently (XCut set of 6 flowers in assorted sizes) I cut 5 of them in 3 different papers all similar in colour in shades of peaches and cream

As I haven't yet found the right die for foliage for the larger flower, I just cut an extra single flower in green vellum and drew some veins on to simulate leaves!! I just added a simple greeting and 3 little peeloff gems to finish the card off.

What started out as an afternoon playing with my new die making flowers ended up as a card for a girlfriend - I hope you like it!! I can't tell you what my friend thought of it as her birthday isn't for a while yet!!

What a lovely Birthday card this is and your friend is sure to be delighted with it when her birthday comes along.

The cream and gold work so well together and make for a really clean and fresh look to you design. And I like the way you have continued the theme into the corners with the same scroll.

The flower looks just perfect as it is ... but a good die to consider for leaves is the Foliage from Spellbinders.

It gives you several leaf shapes in different sizes that are a wonderful accompaniment to most floral dies.

Wedding Card

I made this wedding congrats card using a piece of A3 Centura Pearl cardstock. The topper is a piece of embossed white card matted on to gold mirricard and the gold layer on top is from the Elegant Labels 4 set.

The oval is from the Nestabilities Opulent Ovals set and the words are peeloffs. The rings are a die. The lillies are Chloe stamps painted with Cosmic Shimmer mica powder and shaped then decorated with pearls and glitter glue.

The white leaves are Memory Box fern dies and the gold scrolls are diecut Cheery Lyn Fanciful Flourishes.

The "Congratulations" is an embossing folder matted and layered on to gold mirricard. The box was the most difficult part - 2 sheets of A3 Centura Pearl which wouldn't fit on to my Hougie Board to mark out the lines so I had to adapt!!! I just hope the happy couple like it.

This is so pretty and I love the Lilies. How could the recipient not love it when it is so well made just for them.

The Gold and white look perfect together for a wedding card and I am sure that you would not let the Hougie board get the better of you.
