Stuck for ideas? Need inspiration? Want to learn new techniques?

Then why not think about magazines to help you in that search.

I wait patiently each month for my mag to come through the letterbox, and then it's cup of coffee, feet up time while I browse the pages to my hearts content.

Whenever I am short of simple ideas they get my imagination going again.

I love the "freebies" I get with it. There are some card blanks, with the envelopes. A selection of papers. Foam pads. A sample of ribbon, gemstones and other sparkly bits. Usually some cardboard tags and sometimes a sheet of sentiments too.

Always more than enough to produce a dozen or so cards.

All offer subscriptions and many give away a free gift when you sign up. You will get substantial savings, and you will know that your copy is reserved especially for you, and delivered to your door.

But take your time. Look at lots before you decide.

Look at what they offer. Do you like the ideas? Is the information what you are looking for? Most subscriptions are for a year.

And a year is a long time if you get it wrong!

Try the library for a selection of magazines to look at, before you make your final choice. Browse them to see if you like the content and the style of cards the magazine covers.

Most supermarkets have a good selection of them too, try them out and when you are happy make your choice and subscribe.

Then each month take some "me" time and enjoy your reading.
