Cardmaking for Charities... ...What a Wonderful Way to use Your Talents.
Cardmaking for Charities is something we can all do, to raise money for a worthy cause.
Let the search box help you to find what you need.
Cardmaking for Charities is something you may like to consider. A way to put to good use, all the cards that you have, and may just have stored away in boxes!!
What do you do with them all? Give them to friends and family? Sell them? Donate them to your church, hospital, hospice or social group?
Or just keep them stashed away because you don't know what to do with them.
In building this website I make lots of cards. I buy the product I want to use, or try the fold I am featuring, or use the template I am adding to the pages, and I make several of one design in the process.
Over the months I end up with a lot of cards. But I don't keep them hidden away, I put them to good use, by sending them to charities.
Some of these organisations will sell my creations to raise money for their own cause.
Some will be used by people who cannot get cards, wherever they are.
Others will be sent to people, especially children, to make a difference to their day.
And yet others will be used to raise funds for research.
Below are some I personally support when cardmaking for charities, and maybe you would like to take a look.
Two are devoted to children with serious illnesses, and some of these children may never get better.
Donnas Dream House
This is an English charity, and it's aim is to give a holiday to a sick child, accompanied by their families, free of charge.
They sell cards, to raise money to support the charity, which is based in Blackpool, England.
Their website tells you all about how the "Dream House" came about.
Maybe you have cards that they can use, for any occasion or theme.
Make A Child Smile
Why not send a card directly to a sick child, or their siblings.
Add a little message, some news or a small gift.
The website tells you what to do to send your cards, and information about the children themselves.
It is based in America and operates though the website only, but contact details are there for you to send your cards directly to the children featured.
Cards for Soldiers.
Imagine being far away from home, and not being able to pop to the shop for a special card for a loved ones birthday...well this organisation will use your cards, for the soldiers to send back home.
All the cards must have an envelope with them and the website gives you the sizes they require, and ideas for occasions and themes for your cards.
Cancer Research Uk
This year "Do Crafts" are joining up with Cancer Reasearch UK in the fight against cancer and they are asking for people to donate cards that they make, to their cause.
The cards need to be A6 and the insides left blank and sent along with the envelope in a cellophane bag to them.
The link will take you to Do Crafts and if you scroll down to click the "Craft For Life" section all the deatails are there.
Cards 4 Cancer
I asked you to suggest any cardmaking for charities that you liked to support, and this one was put forward by Sue in the USA.
Clicking the link will give you all the information that you need, and all your cardmaking efforts will be well received here.
Breast Cancer Awareness
And even if you aren't cardmaking for charities you can still play a part to help this worthwhile charity.
Just by clicking this link you will be giving a FREE Mammogram to an underpriviledged woman.
It costs you nothing...just a little bit of your time.
One click with the mouse and you can make such a difference to another persons life.
These are just some of the Charities that will use your creative talents.
If you know of others that you support, please tell me a little bit about them, and maybe I can add them to this page.
